Whose Report Will You Believe?                        By Cheryl D. Forrest

After the birth of my forth son, I went to the doctor’s office for my six week checkup. The doctor came in the room where I was sitting on the table after my exam. He sat down in front of me and looked me in the eyes and said, “Mrs. Forrest we see the beginning signs of cancer.” As he continued to talk to me I heard another voice speaking at the same time. It was the Holy Spirit. He told me, “You can believe the doctors report concerning your health, or you can believe the word of God.” He said, “The doctors report is factual, it’s based on medical facts, but my word, the Word of God is based on truth and the word says by His stripes (the stripes Jesus bore on his body for us) you are healed.” He told me, “If I believed the doctor’s report I would have to take chemotherapy, would lose my hair and could die”. Next he said, “If you believe my word, I will give you life and that more abundantly and I’ll bless you on top of that.” Then he asked me a question, “Whose report will you believe?”

At the end of the conversation I chose to believe the report of the Lord, which is found in the word of God. The truth is God is not a man, that He should lie, nor the son of man, that he should repent. Has He said, and will he not make it good? Num. 23:19

When I left the doctor’s office, The Holy Spirit began to give me instructions; His instructions were specific and to the point. The first thing he said was, “Do not tell people you have cancer. If you have to say anything at all, tell them the doctor said he saw cancer but you don’t receive it.” Then he said, “Do not share this with everybody, just those of faith that can agree in prayer with you.” Last he said, “Find healing scriptures in the bible and read them out loud every day and believe God for the manifestation.”

I went home amazed at what just happened. I had an encounter with the Spirit of God right there in the doctor’s office. I was sitting there facing the doctor, he was talking to me and The Holy Spirit was talking to me at the exact same time.
I remembered how God healed me at age 17 from cancer, and he later healed me from the lump on my breast. So I followed his instructions without reservation. I didn’t receive the doctor’s report.

As a man thinketh in his heart so is he. Prov. 23:7

If asked about it, my response was, “The doctor said... but I don’t receive it. I believe by Jesus stripes I am healed.” I went home opened my bible and wrote down every healing scripture I could find. Each day I read aloud the healing scriptures. So then faith comes by hearing, and by hearing the word of God. It’s even more powerful when you hear yourself saying it. It will strengthen you and cause your faith to grow.

The more I spoke the scriptures out of my mouth; the word of God began to get into my spirit. I went from just reading them to believing them and my body, cells, organs, emotions and my blood began to come into alignment with the word of God that was spoken over it every day.

My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:20-22 NKJV

Proverbs also tells us that death and life are in the power of the tongue, it’s imperative when you need a miracle, to watch what you say. Faith filled positive words bring about positive results; doubt filled words bring about death and destruction. You can change your situation around, simply by changing your conversation and speaking words of faith out of your mouth.
Start saying, “I shall live and not die in Jesus Name,” and Purpose in your heart that you are going to trust and have faith in God. Began to speak the word of God over your body daily and tell yourself I am healed in Jesus name. Now stretch your faith and expect to be healed.

God has given us the keys to the kingdom, power and authority as sons of God to bind up sickness and loose healing to flow in our bodies.
Matthews 18:18 says, “Whatever I bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatever I loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Whatever we disallow on earth shall be disallowed in heaven and whatever we allow on earth shall be allowed in heaven.”

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not: Prophet Cheryl Forrest

As a child we were taught to play games. As we matured we learned to incorporate strategy as a tool to gain leverage over our opponents to secure the winners position. Playing games can be fun and very entertaining in the right perspective. As a child we use to play a game that required one player and a flower of any type with petals. We would repeat the words, “He loves me, He loves me not until the very last petal.” If the last petal fell on the words he loves me, our hearts would be full of joy behind the emotional gratification that accompanies the phrase, “I love you.” By chance if the last petal was he loves me not, we would pick up another flower and repeat the process until we ended with he loves me.

After twenty years of marriage I’ve found myself back into the dating game. Dating feels somewhat awkward but it’s a necessary ingredient in being found by Mr. Right. I’ve learned that people still play games. I’ve noticed that some guys treat dating as if they are playing a chess game. They seem to sit back and strategize on their next move to conquer the game board.

There’s many ways to meet guys but you have to be very careful when it comes to that first date. Do you remember hearing this phrase, “You can make your mouth say anything?” I’ve found out that the words, “I love you,” have several different meaning, can come with conditions and can sometimes carry no substance. I was talking to a spiritual son the other day and he told me that his cousin gave him some relationship advice as a teenager that lines up with our topic. He was told to tell woman that he loved them, regardless of if it was true or not. He said they were in a club and he asked his cousin did he tell the woman he was with that he loved her. The responds was yes, so the next question my son asked was do you love her. The cousin said, “No but he told her that he loved her anyway.”

Sisters, beware of guys that tell you I love you with the wrong motives. I found that praying and asking God to reveal to me the guys motives and intentions towards me is a real time and life safer.  God loves us and He wants us to have healthy relationships. We know that God is a healer of the brokenhearted but through prayer some things can be avoided.

Sisters heed the warning signs, if you’re dating a possessive, jealous, constantly arguing, skirt chasing type of guy, someone that belittles, calls you stupid, tells you how dumb you are or how unattractive you are my professional advice to you is to exit these unhealthy relationships ASAP. As women we love to nurture, help people, fix things and people if possible but sometimes we have to recognize our limitations and when the guy needs professional help to overcome his problems. If you’re dating someone with these characteristics (unless the person gets professional or spiritual help from God in the way of deliverance) it can get worse.

I had a family member that dated a guy that was jealous and abusive. Unfortunately she married him and he couldn’t keep a job because he was always on her job. She couldn’t go to the bathroom by herself nor visit relatives without him.  He was so abusive that he tried to make her lick up dog urine off of the floor. She lost her job and he had her searching through the dumpsters for food. With the help of concerned loves ones she was able to escape from him and relocate. She was a beautiful young woman that was full of potential. Her life ended in her twenties but before she transitioned to heaven she witnessed the love of God to her hospital roommate.

I found this article on 3 types of Love by Seeker of Truth by Alex that I thought would be helpful. Alex article said, Eros love - known as "erotic love," It is based on strong feelings toward another. It usually occurs in the first stages of a man-woman "romantic" relationship. This love is based more on physical traits. Say a person says he has "fallen in love" for a woman, because "she looked like an angel" (sheesh). Or a woman "falls in love" for a guy because he is intelligent, has good breeding, etc. The weakness with this type of love is obvious. It is based more on "self-benefit", of what can benefit you rather than the other person. This is "I love you because it feels good, and makes ME happy loving you." See? The keyword is the word "ME".  When that person doesn't "feel happy" anymore in loving that person, she/he is led to believe that she/he has "fallen out of love". Actually, there was never "true love" in the first place. The fact is love by feelings alone cannot be called "true love" simply because they do not know each other that much yet.

He also said that when two people feel this strong emotional attraction towards one another, though they barely really know about each other's personalities. A person usually puts her/his best foot forward, showing only her/his good side. In order to be sure if "true love" exists, two people must know and accept each other’s good and bad traits.

What we need to be careful of is assuming a relationship must be "real love" just because it is romantic, because all we feel is happiness. As with most anything in life, we must learn to use both our heart and mind to judge if something is real. Be careful also of being in love with the "concept of love" itself, rather than for who the person is. TV, movies, media has "romanticized" so much it is often hard to see reality from fiction. You must love a person for her/his uniqueness, not because you simply want to feel the joy of "being in love." Such a love is concerned more with the "self" rather than the partner.

Over-relying on pure emotion without the balance of logic is a recipe for failure.

I Corinthians 13:4-8a gives us a biblical reflection of what love is. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails…

I heard a sermon that was a real eye opener. The speaker said that women had to be careful because a woman would help a man to deceive her.  Sisters keep your eyes opened while dating. I’m not suggesting that you walk around like Inspector Gadget but be careful to not force the guy into lying to you. If a person truly loves you and not shy about showing his emotions, his actions will speak louder than his words. In other words, you won’t have to beg him to come visit you or spend quality time with you. Also you want have to revert to pulling the petals off of your flowers to gain insight on whether He loves me, he loves me not.

"Dirty Sheets" by  Prophet Cheryl D. Forrest

Dating shouldn’t be based on what happens between the sheets. As a professing Christian the bedroom with sexual activity in the Biblical prospective should be experienced on your wedding night and thereafter. My encouragement to you is a reminder that you are fearfully and wonderfully made by our Heavenly father, brought with a very high price (The shed blood of Jesus Christ) and you are well worth the wait and the investment of a wedding with Mister Right.

Under the unction of the Holy Spirit I recently wrote a book called, “How to Get the Jezebel Spirit Out of Your Church, Home and Bedroom. The subtitle is Regaining Stolen Territory.” In this book I talk about the cost of a few minutes between dirty sheets. (The Book can be purchased from sidebar on the right)

I can remember as far back as when I was a young adult the saying: “Why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free!” That’s truly something to pause and think on. Some men still have this mindset embedded within them today. Unfortunately, I’ve seen precious women spend years in a sexual relationship that ended in heartache and they came out of it empty handed. Truth be told, the guy was either a womanizer, looking for self-gratification or sometimes it’s because what he really needed was a virtuous woman. True story: ...and when he found her (the virtuous woman) he married her.

I asked a relative to invite his girlfriend to the house for a visit. His responds was, “She’s not house worthy.”  Sisters we were not created to be anyone’s one night stand or toy for the evening. God has better and he created you for greater. You are a precious jewel and a pearl of great value resides on the inside of you.  Don’t waste your time sleeping and hanging with Mister Wrong, it could cause you to miss out on Mister Right.

I remember hearing from the lips of wise and concerned adults, “Everybody is not doing it.” So regardIess of what’s portrayed on the media there are millions of souled out individuals, who refuse to bow to the temptations of the enemy.

One day while driving to a friend’s house after work, I was in prayer. I asked the Holy Spirit about relationships and why some of my friends were falling into sexual sin. His responds was that they were trying to keep themselves instead of asking Him to keep them. The bible tells us that with man it’s impossible but with God all things are possible even in dealing with relationships. God is a keeper and He is the lover of our souls. He’s concerned about our wellbeing and He knows about the negative effects of an unhealthy relationship.

A few minutes between dirty sheets comes with a great cost: Sexual diseases, a broken heart, missed opportunities and a separation from God because of the sin.

If you’ve found yourself between dirty sheets, God has provided a way out through repentance. Pray and ask God to forgive you for this sin, to deliver you from it and to keep you from now on in Jesus Name. Remember God loves you and He is a forgiving God.

I recently offered these dating suggestions to a friend in need of safe dating tips:
  • Meet in public places
  • Double Date with others
  • Take your date to a church service
  • Set boundaries in displaying affection
  • Take a cold shower when necessary
  • Develop a stronger desire to please God in your relationship and ask Him to keep you physically.
  • Define your relationship
  • Stay out of compromising positions and situations
  • Refrain from sleeping in the same room until married.
I hope that this blog is a blessing and help to many.
I would love to here your suggestions on safe dating tips. Feel free to leave your comments...

How to Work your Faith to get Results-by Cheryl Forrest

God wants to bless us. He desires to release the miraculous in our lives right now but it takes faith to pray and believe Him for the results we desire. Our heavenly Father loves us, He takes pleasure in prospering us and He has promised to not withhold any good thing from us. God is on an assignment. He’s seeking out someone that he can bless to fulfill the promises He made in His word (The Holy Bible). “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of [them] whose heart [is] perfect toward him,” 2Ch16:9.

As a young Christian, I was very excited about my new relationship with Christ. I remember praying and it seemed like whatever I prayed for I receive instant results. It was so amazing how God showed up on my behalf. If I prayed for food, the food miraculously showed up. When I prayed for finances the money came through the door. When I prayed for favor He granted me favor. When I prayed for deliverance the bad habits were broken off of my life. God showed up with no limits in His ability to be the great: I Am, That I Am.

God was proving Himself to be the all sufficient God that He is, even in my health. Before saying the sinners prayer and accepting Christ in my life (with a determination to live for Him for real this time), I had discover a lump on my breast that terrified me.  I went to the Alter for prayer and the after prayer the Pastor told me to believe God for my healing. He also told me to not go by my 5 senses but to trust in God. I left the Alter that day hoping, trusting and believing God for my healing. When I got home, I did a self-examination and the lump was still there. The Holy Spirit immediately reminded me of my instructions from the Pastor, “Do not go by your 5 senses.” I was also encouraged to speak life by calling those things that be not as though they were. So after the examination I opened my mouth and told the lump that Jesus was wounded for my transgression, He was bruised for my iniquities, the chastisement of my peace was upon Him and by His stripes I am healed.  After repeating the process throughout the week, I called and made a doctor’s appointment. Before leaving the house for my doctor’s appointment I did a self-examination and the lump was still there but because of my continued growth in Christ, I learned how to walk by faith and not by sight. So I continued to confess the Word of God over my body and to (by faith) call my body healed in Jesus Name. While waiting in the examining room for the doctor, I did another self-examination and the lump was still there but I kept saying and believing what the Word said about me, “By His Stripes I am Healed.” I held fast to God’s promises to heal me and I refused to let go. After the doctor’s examination, she looked at me and asked, “What lump?” I did the examination after her and the lump that was there was completely gone. To God be the Glory!

God has given everyone a measure of faith.  It’s up to us to invest in the time to learn how to work what He has freely given us. Hebrews tells us, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen (Heb. 11:1).” Our faith in God is simply trusting and believing in Him without reservations. Someone wrote in a song about God that said, “I’ll take him at His word, I’ll trust and never doubt, I’ll stand upon His promises and in the time of trouble he will bring me out. Lord I believe…”

For the believer faith is what’s necessary to get God to move on our behalf and to answer our prayers. It’s like the glue and screws needed to keep the top of the chair we sit in (without inhabitations of whether or not it can uphold the added pressure of our weight) connected to the bottom of the chair.

We need faith to obtain the blessings of God. We also need faith to receive our healings, deliverances, spiritual gifts, promotions and anything else from God.

Faith is the key element to pleasing our Heavenly Father. Without faith it’s impossible to please God (Heb. 11:6). I’ve been born again since 1981 and through my years of serving and following Him, I can testify that it takes faith in Him and not in our own ability to run this Christian race.

I remember hearing the phrase, “You have to work your faith,” but they forgot to tell me how to work it. Now this is what the Holy Spirit revealed to me on the topic:

How to work your faith and get results:
  • Have faith in God - Choose to believe only and not doubt God’s ability to answer your prayers.
  • Feed your faith - Faith comes and grows by repeatedly hearing and feasting off of the Word of God.
  • Expectancy - Faith without works is dead so gird up your faith and expect God to move on your behalf.
  • Death and life is in the power of the tongue - So speak life and positive about receiving your results. Train yourself to say what the Word of God says about it. Be careful to say what you want instead of saying what you have or what you see in the natural.
  • Rebuke the enemy - Verbally cast down every imagination or thought in your mind that’s opposite of faith. Also bind and rebuke suggestions to walk in  unforgiveness. Let it go because unforgiveness hurts the one that’s holding it. Choose instead to forgive and walk in love with God’s help.
  • Stand in faith - Stand still and just like when the Israelites needed a miracle to cross the Red Sea to escape their enemies and to reach the promise land. Remember God is not a respecter of person. He worked a miracle for them and He will do the same for you.
  • Stay Connected - Repentance is an essential part of a Believers prayer life. Make sure sin, doubt and unbelief are repented of and not a hindrance to getting your desired results. Doubt and unbelief acts as a repellent to answered prayer. Double mindedness will keep a person out of the promise land because a doubleminded man hinders his own ability to receive anything from God according to the Word. Don’t let pride stand in the way of you being blessed. Repent and get it right with God.

And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” Matthew 21:21-22

Be encouraged because God loves you and He wants to bless you. I’m a living witness that having faith in God works. It’s been over 30 years and the lump never returned. I am healed by the stripes of Jesus.

Prayer
I pray God’s blessings, peace and healing for you today and I rebuke any hindrances from blocking your prayer results in Jesus Name. Amen

We would like to here your commits and testimonies of how your faith in God manifested your results. www.cherylforrestministries.com
